Here is an excerpt from Barbara's email...
"Oh dear, we awoke this am to a gnome infestation. They have totally taken over our front yard. Didn't know where they came from, but someone in our household (we have house guests that have also taken over) said something about Peace Lutheran Church.
Well now, we're peace loving folks, but these things are vicious. As I was walking out to my car, I was attacked and bitten not once, but twice on two fingers by one gnome. Just in case you don't know, gnome bites can be very serious, as well as painful. My co-workers [I work for a doctor in the Med Center] are monitoring me closely. They may even have to call in an infectious disease specialist."
As you can see, gnomes are no laughing matter! This was serious business. I called in the reserves and we took a special team of Gnominators to their house that afternoon.
As this was a high-risk assignment, photographers were not allowed to document the scene.
Suffice it to say there was a high level of excitement. We donned full suits of body-armor, helmets with visors and used electrified nets to round up these gnomes. It was intense.
After we rounded those gnomes up, we went gnome hunting again that night.
The gnomes were still infesting the La Porte area - we had a few leads, but we decided to regroup and wait for daylight, when the gnomes would be tired and dazed.
